Kate Mathalone

Director of College Readiness

Kate’s role as Director of College Readiness involves supporting and managing a team of editors to ensure that our clients are being provided with outstanding editing and the best possible materials to present with their college applications. She communicates regularly with Deepak and College Readiness consultants to monitor each client’s progress. She also coordinates with the Field Services team to match consultants and College Readiness clients.

Kate graduated from University of St. Thomas where she studied English literature and communication studies. While at UST, she was a contributor and staff member for the University’s literary magazine, Laurels. During her undergraduate years, she also served as a teaching apprentice for a writing-intensive First Year Seminar. As a TA she was able to discover and embrace her talents for writing and teaching as she helped first year students perfect their essays.

Originally from London, England, Kate and her family lived in Dubai before moving to Houston, where she would grow up and attend Memorial High School. Her mustang pride continues to run deep, and she loves that she still gets to work with MHS families through Cram Crew. In her time away from the Cram Crew office, Kate’s interests include going to as many BODYPUMP classes as possible and spending time with her family and friends. She is a devoted Houston Texans supporter whose fanatical enthusiasm tiptoes the fine line between hardcore fan and creeper status.  She adores hockey and the Detroit Red Wings, and she aspires to one day win the #bucciovertimechallenge.

“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”
