Cody Jackson

Assistant Editor

Cody works on the College Readiness Team as an assistant editor where he provides revisions and comments to students’ essays and résumés. His goal is to help students shape their portfolios to present themselves in the best possible light while highlighting the aspects that make them special. In order to provide the best feedback, he works closely with the other members of the College Readiness Team to maintain the high standards of Cram Crew.

Cody was born in Maryland, has deep roots in Louisiana, and was raised predominantly in Texas. For his undergraduate degree, he attended Texas A&M University and graduated as a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2012 with a B.A. in History and a Minor in Philosophy. He then obtained an M.A. in Philosophy from Texas Tech University where he studied Bayesian epistemology, Rational Choice Theory, behavioral economics, and psychology of judgment and decision-making. Cody was hired as an assistant editor in June of 2017.

When outside of the office, Cody loves watching sports, particularly football and basketball. His favorite teams are the New Orleans Saints, A&M Aggies, and Golden State Warriors. He reads a lot and is fascinated by politics. On any given day, you can find him listening to a podcast, immersing himself in a new subject of fascination, or relaxing on the couch watching the cinematic masterpiece The Replacements for the thousandth time.
