Human Resources Team Lead

We are Cram Crew, a one-on-one, in-home tutoring firm. Tutoring firm? Yep, tutoring is what we do, and we’re dang proud of it. We are looking for a savvy Human Resources Team lead that will support our company’s growth

As the Human Resources Team lead, you will be in charge of overseeing the Recruiting Assistant and Payroll Processor while working with other team leaders and management to improve policies and procedures. Essentially, get ready to collaborate!

This position is based out of our Katy office!

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Oversee the Human Resources department
  • Conduct phone and in-person interviews for potential employees
  • Manage the Human Resources inbox correspondence
  • Coordinate new hire training with the Development Team for field team and with the General Manager and Team Lead for office staff
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and assist in the onboarding on new employees
  • Serve as a point of contact and support for employees regarding general questions, concerns or complaints
  • Collaborate with our payroll processor and assist employees with questions regarding payroll
  • Assist Team Leaders and the Operations Manager with the coordination and scheduling of employee evaluations
  • Conduct exit Interviews for departing employees and process separations
  • Manage employee benefits and collaborate with vendors to ensure proper administration
  • Mentor and support team leaders with coaching and disciplinary action processes
  • Serve as a resource for policy and procedure enforcement
  • Maintain employee files up to date and organized
  • Other duties and tasks as needed

What you should offer:

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Available to work 30-40 hours per week during normal business hours
