Q: What if my student has not done any Test Preparation? Can they still participate in The Extra Point?
A: Absolutely! While the program is primarily designed to be a recap and overview of all sections of the ACT to edge out one extra point on the exam, The Extra Point can also help students jump-start their Test Preparation throughout the rest of the summer into the fall semester. Please let us know if this will be your student’s first time with Test Preparation, and that will help us better sort them into the appropriate group for the program.
Q: Does my student have to sign up for Cram Crew’s Test Preparation to participate in The Extra Point?
A: While we think our Test Preparation service would be ideal before The Extra Point, it is not necessary. We will help your student prepare and execute a game plan for whatever your student’s preparation past or future will be—with us or solo!
Q: Does my student need to do anything before the program?
A: Yes! We need each student to take a preliminary Mock Exam the month before the event to create the individualized score report and assessment, and to identify the student’s strengths and weaknesses. We will also send out a Google Form for you to fill out with more detailed student information.
Q: What does my student need to bring?
A: The usual: pencils, erasers, calculator, and a notebook (though material will be provided, we know there are avid note-takers out there!). Snacks and a drink are welcome!
Q: What time will the program be?
A: This will depend on your specific location and dates. You will get a detailed schedule a few weeks before the program, but the general schedule is as follows:
Sunday: 1-4 p.m. (with an extra hour discussion for any students testing with accommodations)
Monday-Wednesday: 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Thursday: 7:45 a.m. or 9:45 a.m.-5 p.m. (Students will take a Mock Exam in the morning and review)
Friday: times will vary from student-to-student as they set up individual sessions
Q: Can my student leave during lunch?
A: Students must remain on campus during lunch breaks Monday through Wednesday. Students may leave for lunch on Thursday with parent permission (please notify us at least the day before) but must return for the afternoon classes.
Q: Can my student bring their lunch?
A: Absolutely! We will have catered lunches available Monday through Thursday, but if your student has any dietary restrictions or will be bringing their own lunch, please let us know!
